farmall 400 gas live pto ???

(thanks for everyones response on the gas caps). now my problem is the live pto on my 400. some one told me to change the oil and put in case IH tractor hyd fluid back in. WHATS the correct oil thats should be in the pto ???

Hy Tran in the PTO , transmission , rear end and hyd. one fluid for the tractor

thanks im now going to have to drain it.dont know whats in it its thick and slow running out.

A word of caution. You might consider adding only a portion of the Hy Tran at a time and check for leaks as you go. My experience is Hy Tran finds leak that the old gunky stuff had been plugging up for years. A good power wash and scrob of the entire area before you leak check might also be wise - makes catching the leaking fluid more useful. Good luck in the transition. Dick Davis
