i know this isn't the A.C. fourm but i thought i would show what i did to stop my carberator fuel leak on my A.C. big ten when i'm not using it.

i had to clean the carb a while back and the gasket had got rater f%$&ed up and didn't care at the moment, until i noticed it was leaking all the fuel out so i looked threw my garage and found an old bowl and an L bracket, that i shined and cleaned up so i could shut the fuel off, cause i'm to cheap to get a new gasket and plus iv'e been wanting to put a bowl on it.

Pretty slick "shop engineering" there, rrogers! I admire people that can take "anything" and make "something". For example, my "temporary" tie rod end fix on my Farmall 504.

Good luck my friend!

nice, i'll have to get a pic of the hand clutch i put on my one wheel horse cause the pedal was broke.

heres also a photo of a tractor my grandpa built, he built all kinds of tractors like this. the frame is a john deere L he found in the woods so he put a chevete engine and transmittion on it. i learned everything i know from him (thats him and me when i was little on it). he passed away labor day of 08. i still have that tractor and runs fine, he put a cherry bomb muffler on it too.

Here is another way to fix tie rod ends. split the the cap on both sides, with a grinder. Hammer closed and weld up. Works on the smallest to the largest. If it happens to pull threw again just repeat. I have not bought a tie rod in over ten years.

New tie rod ends are readily available and don't cost that much. Fix it right the first time and you'll never have to worry about it again.
