Cub lo-boy 184

Good Morning
Just picked up this cub 184 and requesting a recommended suppliers of parts. Lacking the side shields below back of hood which cover the flywheel/elec. pto clutch, top cver for battery, need a seat, possibly the elec. switch for the pto,a carbuerator kit for zenith, and the ignition key has been lost. Are the ign. keyes interchangeable from other switches? Tractor has supposedly been in storage for 5-6 years and I am not sure what all I will need before it is running, but motor is not stuck. Also what are the pro"s and con"s of the 184 cub. Thank you in advance for any info. available.

Sheet metal will come from a salvage yard (plenty around) the Ignition switch key is pretty universal. CaseIH has them. (many tractors use the same key Even JD and others)
A kit should be available here on this site, and CaseIH (pricy, but may be more complete) JimN

Weak points are the clutches, both engine and PTO. Are you sure you have an electric PTO clutch? By all means buy a manual to set your clutches. Starter generator can also be troublesome.

In my orig. post I forgot to ask about serial no. vs. year of tractor. Tag on frame by clutch area shows 2000115u045327* Could some one decipher this for me?
Thanks

As for weak points, it all depends on what you want it for.
For mowing, it can be quite underpowered, unless you have a 48" deck. The PTO, sould be a mechanical clutch, on the left side, kinda behind the seat. We have had one for about 10 years, used to mow with it, have a 60" deck under it, with a creeper gear. Mows great, just underpowered. Not easy to steer in close quarters. We have had no clutch issues PTO or tractor, and we used to mow a lot with it. Had the creeper unit gears go out, had to rebuild that, but other than that, no problems, nice little tractor.

First off my apologies, wrong information. The 184 does have an electric clutch. The 184 is a very nice dependable tractor, they finally got the bugs worked out. You do however need a manual to set the clutches. Your tractor is a 1977. The last set of numbers are the serial 045327.
