iv'e never seen this type of lift on a farmall A before. I was curious if they offered it on them, or if it is off of a different model, and what is the biggest size tires i can put on the rear, it has 11.2X24 on the left side, and 11X24 on the right and they are shot.

rrogers, That is a stannard hand lift for A
My A has 9.5x24 I no a guy that pulls he has 14.9x24 with rims turned out and custom draw bar.

A low profile wider tire is best. You should try to avoid any increase in total outside diameter. The tractor has a first gear that is already fast enough. Wide good tall bad. Use a tire to rim ratio designed for the tire, or the tread will be pooched out and not get proper traction. Suggested rim width is usually marked on the tire. JimN

The lever is either the lift for an A-134 Cult or for the rear tooling on the A-138-437. Needs to be turned the other way to see how it mounts. There were several thpes of handles for lifting the different implements used on the A. I have lifts for the plow and three types of cults used on the A. I have an A-134,A-138 and the A-437 cults with different rear tooling set-ups. The standard tire for an A was 8x24 on 7in rim. 9x24 on 8in rim. If you have the 8in rims the new 9.5 looks and mounts great. If traction is a big thing then mite want to go to 10in rim so you can mount 11in or bigger rubber. The 9.5 with one wt seems to be fine for me.

My Super A has 11.2x24. They are plenty big and make the tractor plenty fast.

Didn't As originally come with the equivalent of 8.3x24s? 9.5x24 is the "accepted" size, though.
