The ad said Super A. The picture visually whispered to me: "Hey, I am a Super A with a fast hitch and the hitch helper return spring!". The picture was shot from a distance and a low resolution. My heart said it is an A1!! My head said, umm, I'm not so sure.
I drove to see it hoping to see a Super A1 awaiting restoration. However, it was for naught. The serial number was 264720. The gas tank was flat against the hydraulic section. There was no water pump and the front cowl was standard Super A. I figure this Super A was later retrofitted with a fast hitch. But just in case my assumption is wrong and that this Super A came from the factory with a fast hitch, I ask the following question. Does anyone know if the fast hitch option was available at the time of this tractor's manufacture?
