Went out to use my 1468, has set since fall harvest. Started it up and no power steering or brake pressure. It worked fine when i parked it in the barn. Tried warming ta area as best as i could with salamander, still no pressure. Does anyone have any suggestions? Oil level is good, it moves back and forth, three point works. Just doesnt make sense as it worked just fine. Any help would be great. Thanks, Jeff

First off change the hyd. filter and make sure that the hyd. oil is not milky looking .check fluid level and make sure that you are up to the full mark . Next run the tractor for about a half hour and then try turning the steering wheel to the left while running the engine up around 1500-1800 and see if she will pick up prime . Then the other thing it could be is that the Flow control valve maybe sticking . Also is the dash lite working that comes on when ya push down the clutch pedal ??? if not put a new bulb in it . IF the lite stays on after the clucth pedal is up then she is not picking up prime to the MCV pump , Then try adding three to five more gallon of Hy Tran to the system and see if this helps. If all of the above does not help then you will have to either get a I T manual and LEAN ALL ABOUT THE MCV or let someone that does get into it.

Very common problem with these tractors. After you change filter, and if it doesn't prime up yet, take the plug out of mcv, (this is the large valve assembly on left side of ta housing)look on the rear ward side of the valve assembly, there are several plugs, sending unit and dump valve, well the plug with the 5/8th head on it will allow air in front of pump and flow divider valve to escape. Rev her up and stand back, I always throw a big rag around it and if it does start coming out it will come like heck so shut her off , put plug back in.There are many reasons this happens, weak pump, cold oil, clogged filter, moisture in oil, low fluid level, suction leaks etc but if it works after new filter clean fluid and correct fluid level you are good to go.

Our 1566 did that one winter, only once you lifted the blade and backed out of the shed it wouldn't lower til it warmed up.
We also had no hydraulics when we replaced the hydraulic seat, pulled apart the 2 oil lines under the seat that we put together and plugged them and solved it.
