I need some help on finding the value of a 1928 or so Farmall Regular. The tractor was restored around 1986 and is still looks as good as it did then. It has been sitting for several years and the magneto has lost its spark and now the engine is stuck but I dont believe it would take much to get it loose. The tractor does have rubber tires on cut down steel. When the tractor was restored the engine was completely disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled with new rings and gaskets and then it was refinished to a very high quality. If you need any more info on its condition please ask. Thank you.
 
bad mag, on cutoffs, and stuck. id start at 200 and go to maybe 450-500 tops. you can buy running ones for aorund 1000 here :?
 
Some pictures or much more detail would be needed on the "very high quality" restoration.

I have a hard time imagining everything being perfect after 25years; especially with enamal paint. But if it is in such shape, that you could soak it loose and have great compression, file the points and have great spark, blow the dust off and have showroom parts and paint, it may have value far above your average stuck tractor.

Yet, it does sound like some strikes against it in the buyers bargaining favor, or conversly buyer beware as well.
 
Rod, I just pulled one apart that was soaking for 1 year guy told me it ran 2 years ago.
Ya right! It will run but needs more than I thought. Pistons are now free but there is alot of work here just to get it running again. Paint and cosmedics thats a whole nother thing. I go with oldF-20 on the value he where I would be.

Rod,I bought my regular from an old man who said he didnt want to sell it becaues he plowed his garden with it,The man was close to 100years old and the tractor had been stuck for 20 years
