How to send an Email to Member

Our Phone System is Down!

Please use the Contact us Form

We are working to resolve the issue ASAP! Thanks for your patience!

My GED and limited computer experience can not seem to find a way to send an email to a member. The only way I can see is a PM and I get the "Private messaging is currently under construction." window.
Can you fellas key me in on how to send an email someone.
Thanks!

Unless they put an Email address in the box when posting, YT will prevent getting to their Email account. If they post their Email address in their message, no problen. They might need to put a space in it to get it posted. JimN

If someone wanted to include their email in the classic view its simple. I don"t know how they would do it in the modern view.

Thanks JA and Dell.

I've had multiple people say email me and they didn't put it in their profile or in the message. Then I leave a message on the forum and they seem to disappear off the face of the Internet.
Thanks for letting me know I'm not missing something.

Most of the Modern View features are disabled due to spammers. The spammers would email people a bunch of junk, so YT disabled private messaging. If the member you are trying to contact has a Email button next to their post, the person chose to have there email not hidden ( I don't recommend doing that). Classic View has a better email system, if the member chooses to include their email, people can email you without seeing your email address and they can't send you pictures.

The poster needs to put the email address in the email box. Even at that point nobody can look to see what it is (classic view). If you click on the "Send email" link the system sends the email directly to the requester. After that it is straight email between the two of you. I have done this many times supply parts manual pictures and I have had no problem with it.

CtryBoyInMT, You have your email blocked. Mine is open. You could send an email to me, but I cannot send an email to you. Look in the lower right hand corner of the message box, see the difference?
