Can you buy a rebuild kit for the touch controle unit on Super A. I think I need new 0 rings and gaskets at the least. Does anyone have part number?

Carter & Grunewalde can supply your needed parts or they offer complete rebuild kits for the unit also. Most of there parts are all IH and USA made. Call and talk to Ken Updike he is knowledgable and you will get the right parts the first time. The dowside is they are kind of expensive but fair on shipping.

jc newton: You may as well go straight to your nearest CaseIH dealer, buy the complete kit and get installation instructions with it. About $120. for the whole package.

Would anyone have a copy of the instruction sheet that comes with the overhaul kit ?
Do I have to remove a certain allen screw to get out the Pressure Control Bushing so I can change the o-ring below ?

While you are at CNH git a new pressure relief valve spring,,, take a extra hundred if you want OEM boots

I got the kit to which Hugh referred. That was about the price. Had everything that"s needed, in seals and gaskets.

I have a copy of the instructions that came with the seal/gasket set. They aren't much, and have no info that isn't contained in the Serviceman's Handbook GSS-1054 that I got from binderbooks. The GSS-1024 has an exploded view of the hydraulic block, tha same one that is in the I&T shop manual, but on neither is there an item labeled "Pressure Control Bushing" so I'm not exactly sure to what piece you're referring, but on mine, ('49 Super-A) there was no bushing held in place by any set screw.
I'll be glad to post, e-mail, or fax, so let me know. I took a lot of pictures when I overhauled mine.

Oops. I said "GSS-1054". It's GSS-1024.
