49 H - Delco or IH distributor?

This may be a silly question but the dust cover inside my 1949 H"s distributor is missing and I need to figure out if it is an IH or a Delco unit. I have replaced the points before and I just go to NAPA and they look them up in the book and they only show one part number so I would assume it is for the IH distributor? They don"t show the dust cover though, but I have found them online and they show IH and Delco are different. My distributor runs horizontally and has a clip top and bottom to hold the cap on and a threaded terminal pointing about 180 degrees directly away from the engine block out from the cast part, and the inside of that is where the spring part of the points connects. Does that make any sense?

Thanks, I thought I read in the archives that the Delco has a lip that goes between the cap and the housing. You just sealed the deal! Mine has been running for years without one and the cap is obviously tight or it wouldn"t run. Thanks again everyone!
