Fuel past inj. pump/Case-IH 265

We have engine cranking and have fuel to fuel injector pump but not getting into pump. What are we not doing?? Books are ordered but not here yet. Thankyou for any help you can provide. Armand

When you say that the fuel is getting to the injection pump, but not into the pump, do you mean that the fuel is not pumping through the injection pump? You have loosened the line goimg to the pump & observed fuel, but with the incoming line reattached & out going line off, no fuel leaves pump, with engine turning?

Has the pump been sitting a long time open? We had to have the pump for the 555B cleaned out. Modern fuel dries out after a while and plugs it up solid.
