I am finally hooking up the powere steering on my 300U I aquired the factory prioroty valve that mounts behind the rear hydrulic contol valve. It has two outlets on it. a large and a smaller one. I ran the small one to the presure line on the steering box. The return line from the box empties back into the tank just under the seat on the left side. Can the other larger outlet on the priority valve be pluged or is it to be used for the return? Thanks Mark

Yes it can be plugged as I have just finished mine about a month ago and that is what I did and it worked fine. I have had no problems with it being plugged

Mark,
I think you are correct, it is plugged. I will look at my parts book and tractor tomorrow. But I remember there is a T that comes off there too.

The large outlet on the rear of the priority valve is suppose to feed your other valves in reverse. The normal feed for the hydratouch valves is suppose to be plugged. This is done to give your power steering priority over the hydratouch valves. If you have a parts book it will show you the break down and hydraulic schematic with power steering.
