560 pto

today after i finished grinding feed with my 560 the pto will not stop turning. it has the planatery style pto i have tried ajusting both bands but i cant get it to stop. if i tighten the brake band then disengage the pto it will almost stall the motor but the pto will not stop. has anyone else had this problem before. thanks

Sounds like the planetary gears are locked up due to lack of oil

Been there,done that. find good used one from a salvge yard,when you find one change the oil in it. book says 2 quarts 10w non detergent oil,I use 30w non detergent oil instead,holds up better under harsh work. Scott
