Difference BX Reg. and F-12 and 20

Wondering what the diff. was bx these.
Also, did the gear boxes have 3 or 4 gears?
Did they have a road gear and how fast could they go?
Any info. would help - I drive my tractors to shows - no trailer.

The Regular and the F-20 are nearly identical, same engine, same size, identical styling. A few differences are the F-20 has four speeds plus reverse and Regular has three speeds plus reverse if I remember correctly. The F-20 also has little more horsepower and a different steering setup from the Regular including that it is covered by a metal casting. F-20 also has slighly different shape to the rear axle casting.

The F-12 is completely different from those two in that is smaller, and has solid (straight) rear axles rather than dropped rear axles, so F-12 wheels can be adjusted on the axle like the H, M, etc. It also has taller narrower rear wheels. F-12 is three speed and is shorter and narrower than the other two. F-12 is also about 1,000 pounds or so lighter. F-12 has a smaller engine, 113ci compared to 220ci. Also it is ocompletely different design, in that it has three main bearings on the crankshaft compared to two big ball bearings on the engine in the 220ci for starters.

None of the three tracotrs are common with road gear or overdrive. I've heard F-12 could be ordered with a high speed transmission which is 7mph. Otherwise the top speed with them is about 4mph.

All three are setup so an aftermarket overdrive can be installed between the engine and the transmission but the overdirves are expensive and harder to find. So they are long drive to move around without a trailer. The Regular and F-20s are also very wide (7-8 feet or more) unless you find a narrow tread model.
