Saturday Dec 27 overnight temps went from 20F snow/ice to 55F thunderstorms.
Last summer I thought about saving $30 and setting the new shed on the ground instead of on blocks. Good thing I used the blocks.

Ice jamb flooding can be very serious. The floods in NW Minnesota that were the demise of downtown Grand Forks. I hope all stays below the drywall. JimN

Someone must be looking out this me today.

At about 4pm all the snow is melted and water is running hard across my yard.

The barn has anywhere from 4"-12" standing water from flood. I went to pull the lever to see how bad it was then I noticed my air compressor was underwater so I pulled it to higher ground. When I got there I noticed the extension chord that I use for the tractors was under water too and the other end was plugged in. If I had pulled that electrical lever while standing in that 6" of water I might not be typing anymore posts.

Next time I'm standing in water I'm going to survey the area before thinking of turning on electricity.

Nothing quite like that here but WCPO at noon was showing skiers at Perfect North Slopes skiing in shorts. Our old record for today was 65 degrees, 70 degrees was predicted. I had windows open to let the warm air in.

Council Grove Kansas, Dec 26, high of 70, melted/thawed everything. Tornado watch Friday night, some hail, ice storm covered trees with ice by Sat morning.
