Light Weight Tractors??

Hello, Wandering if you guys could steer me in the right direction of information on the Light Weight series of the tractors and how many were built. I have found one and am sure its not original but curious to know more about Farmall building them. this one is a 20 front and 12 rear.

FmrBoy: Come with make and model numbers. To a guy farming with 300 plus hp tractors, anything under 100 hp might be considerd light weight. A guy farming with 35hp tractors might consider a lawn tractor light weight.

I've farmed all my life and have no idea what 20 front and 12 rear might mean????

Never having had but lots around and never hearing that term but with 20 front and 12 rear tells me that somebody wanted a tractor capable of pulling a 2 bottom plow so they used a F-20 engine and hooked it to a F-12 rear end so they could use the sliding rear wheels to get a different wheel tread for a special cultivating project. And an F-30 was unheard of as was the 15-30 and larger tractors.

Leroy: My first thoughts might have been single axle highway tractor and he misplaced the figures for front and rear. Very common to hear them described as 12 front and 20 rear. I had a single axle highway tractor on my farm 12 front and 23 rear. I think we need model letters or numbers to make an intelligent answer.

In the book experimental and protype tractors by Guy Fay with help from others, Jim Becker being one I think it mentions the tractor you want. Maybe 9 made and sent or sold to farmers for testing purposes. One rare tractor if found.
The book is very interesting and brings up a lot more questions that we would like to know the answer to.
