20.8 or 18.4 for 1206

I am going to put newer tires on a 1206. It currently has 18.4x38s. Will 20.8 fit same rim?Will have 11x16 tri rib fronts.I want the tractor to look level.How much will it increase road speed?Thanks!

for sure it will not be level, diffinly it will have more ground speed maybe 3mph.

You can wrestle a 20.8 on to the rim, but it will make for a funny looking tire, lack of traction, and some odd wear patterns if you plan on running the tractor. Really, a wider rim is necessary.

Do yourself a favor and leave the 18.4x38's on it. The 20.8's just don't look right and make it difficult to rowcrop on 30" rows.
