HI folks! Merry Christmas to all from Nova Scotia Canada! Can anyone tell me how do we check salt loaded tires with an air pressure gauge? Do we use a regular gauge and turn the wheel valve stem to the top to keep the salt out of the air? (I ruined my gauge this way),or can we buy a special gauge for salt loaded tires? Percy

Yes, there is a special gauge for checking fluid filled tires. I don't have one, but I think it is a spring loaded affair that pushes the fluid back out automatically.

I have one, kinda pricey at close to $10 as I recall but worth it as it seems to hold up pretty well to the salt water.
Got mine at TSC.

Hi, Merry Xmas from Toronto in the pouring rain.
You are correct put valve stem to the top, give each a tire a shot of air to blow the liquid out of the valve stem then use a $3.00 CTC air pressure guage. You can try blowing out the air pressure guage but chances are the next time you use it, it will not work.

Everyone is correct, any discount place has them.

Is there Walmart in Canada. Never thought about that before.

I always blow or rinse the gauge after use with chloride.
