Compression after replacing rings 1943 H

I've replaced the rings after honing and cleaning the sleeves, which looked OK. Head is back on and torqued to spec. Before I put the project back together, what sort of compression should I be seeing, or do I have to run the engine to really "seat" the rings.

Thanks

You can check it, but running first it will be more assured to be accurate. 120 to 140 depending on what pistons, and head combo. It could be higher if Gas head and high alt. pistons. Set the valves corectly, then check compression (no manifold is OK), all plugs out, full charge in battery. JimN
