My son bought a Farmall c and it needs new tires front and back. The back tires are 11.2 by 36 and that seems to be an odd size. Does anyone have or know were I can find two used tires for this tractor. Thanks

Those are the standard size for C rear tires. I bought new Firestone "Field and Road" tires for about $400 each including tubes and mounting. You'll be lucky if you find a good, matched set. Plus you should replace the tubes at $50 each. Good luck. David

You'll probably have better luck using the link to the classifieds at the top left of the page.

Not that it doesn't make sense to check here. My own impression is that there's not a lot of tractors that use 36s, and Cs were common enough.

They can be had new. I paid a little over $200 apiece for mine back in '01, but a quick look showed them to be well over $400 now. Ouch!

Good luck.

T Med,36in tires are getting to be a thing of the past, but good used ones are out there, you just have to find them. Our local tire dealer is selling 4ply off brand 36in tires for 250 apeice.

That is not a odd size they still make new ones your dealer mite not be up to date on tractor tires. Last price was 11.5x36 TITAN 215 cash and carry would be without a doubt higher now as ALL tires have gone up in price but your size is still available.

Check tire town in KC also Tuckers in Tenn and Nebraska tire. They all have good selection and shipping rates. You need 5.00x15 for the fronts I dont think that the B.F.Goodrich for the rear is still avail but there are several brands that will have the pretty close to the original 45 deg that was original.

T Med, you just have to keep your eyes open to find a good used set. It may take a while, and probably will take a while. You may have to settle for mismatched tires. Getting exactly what you want at the price you want to pay rarely happens; often you have to compromise.

As much as people like to think so this site is not the end-all, be-all for tractor stuff. There are other websites, like ebay, (tractor house dot com), etc..

For tires, though, you need to go through local sources. Shipping is crazy expensive, and rear tractor tires have to go by truck freight, which is even worse than Fedex or UPS. Any price advantage from going online is quickly negated by the cost and inconvenience of having the tires shipped. Plus if you buy from the local guy he'll even put them on for you. Don't ask him if you bought the tires online.
