farmall H '47 jumping 6v with 12v ??

Only if done the right way. NEVER hook battery to battery or it might be the last thing you ever see. 6 volt battery's like to explode if you hook 12 volts to them. You can how ever hook it up right to the starter and the frame so the 6 volt battery never has 12 volts across it and spin it over that way

schumacher makes a 6v and 12v boost charger, about 90 dollars or so at farm and fleet, or check your local farm supply big r, orschelns, tractor supply ect.

I got one at farm and fleet. I believe it was 6v 2amp, and 12 volt 2 amp and 6 amp. Bring a lunch cause 6 volt 2 amp is a slow process.

I think the boost is usually on 12 volts, I have not seen a 6 volt boost, but really haven't looked for one. Don't do it. If you must jump it do as Old says and hook to the starter and a ground away from the battery. I really prefer to charge them enough to start.

If you disconnect the battery and it has a distributor then you ya can start it but the moment you unhook from if you either have it die or can/will hurt the charging system

WalMart sells a really effective 6/12 small=medium=large battery charger for about 30bucks. I used it on my tractors and cars. Very effective and quick. 6 amp quick charge.

Ya can try it but its not the way to go unless you like to see sparks and stuff maybe even blow a battery so ya can get covered with battery acid. Just dont do it

I jumped a 6 volt combine with 12 volts and blew a piece out of the 6 volt battery. It was loud explsion. Fortunatley I did not get hurt.
