pully remover?

My Super A is leaking oil like niagra falls at the front seal. Do they make a backing plate to put behind the cast pully so you dont break it while pulling it off? Ive seen this in books as a special tool to displace the pressure of the puller claws. If so, where can you get it.

I made one from 5/8 inch steel plate for my tractor. Just cut U shaped hole to fit behind pulley and enough both sides of the pulley to get puller arms hooked on. It worked.

If you have a tool rental place close by, or an auto parts store that rents tools, ask for a bearing separator (known in the trade as a cheese cutter)I have 3 different sizes in my box, acquired over the years. They do a great job of pulley removal.
