Is this needed to operate?

Im looking at other pictures on the internet and this tractor in the photo above doesn't have a breather on the left front like other tractors nore a cellandor shape thing in front of the gas tank; so what does that mean, & what is it worth?

Are you talking about the air cleaner?? If so, your picture is showing the wrong side of the tractor.

I think you are referring to the oil bath air cleaner. This is about a 1930 farmall regular. Early one had a Pomona Vortex on the left front. There was a change over about this time - so I am not sure what is correct here.

Tractor can be run without for a period of time without, but will breath dust that will wear the cylinders.

Value of tractor is ~$300 to 500 - depending where you are. I don't know what the value of the air cleaner, but should be available since they didn't wear out (except the oil cup from water).

I think it's like a oil air cleaner it doesn't have! what will it be worth restored?

Unfortunately it will be worth less restored than the money it will cost to restore it.

The value of a restored tractor depends on what has been "restored".
