can you believe it started?

(quoted from post at 21:21:01 12/13/08) Maine got hit w/ a wicked ice storm the last couple of days. I had this tractor outback & trees were snapping all around, so I went out & moved it/ encased in 1" of ice, it started up & drove out of the back feild & I used it to clean up debris! Hope the picture goes through.

I used to hand crank a C every day to haul manure on our dairy farm,I was 11 or 12 when that ended up being my job.Choke it until it fired, usually 1st or second turn, then set the choke to half and it started every time.

When it is real cold (-25 or-30) I would leave the switch off with the choke tight shut and crank it 2 compression strokes then open the choke half way , put the switch on and the next crank over compression it would fire up and stay running.
