genny oil ports

I think I found 2 oil ports on my genny. Could someone tell me oil weight, how much and how often? (I know I need to get a manual)

Thank you in advance

A few drops of whatever clean oil is handy, every little while. It's really not particularly critical. Probably for what you'll be using the tractor, once a year would be more than adequate.

Owners manual says 8 to 10 drops of SAE 20 every 120 hours.

You would probably be OK to use the same oil as what you put in the engine. That is what I do.

Doug - If the generator has been rebuilt within the last 30 years or so it's very likely the original open ball bearing on the pulley end has been replaced with a sealed bearing. If so, there's no need to oil the front cup - it'll just wind up seeping out of the bottom of the generator.

However even after a rebuild the rear bushing will still require periodic oiling as suggested below. But don't use too much oil! (8 - 10 drops or so is enough.)

Yep just a few drops, i use what i use in the motor. It has a kind of a wick in the hole so a few drop will last a long time.
