856 carburator on a 706 motor

Will a 856 carburator fit on my 706 C-263 motor ? And if it will, would I see much, if any , increase in power ? Thanks

I know next to nothing about these specific tractors but I can tell you that you can throw an unlimited amount of fuel at the engine and it won't make any more power.

You have to have a way to get more air to match, whether that's intake tuning to pack more air in via pressure-wave resonance or mechanical power-charging. You can work on restrictions in the intake or exhaust tract too.

Simply increasing mixture-motion will increase torque in a tractor's engine...and after all that's what we're really talking about when we're talking horsepower...unless the tractor's governed redline is going to increase.

Recall the classic equation HP = Torque * RPM/5252 for English units.

Can't put a 856 carb on a 706.

They never made a 856 gas did they? They were all diesels.

Learned something today.

I have never seen nor heard of a gas 856.

I stand corrected.
