New Farmall BN's

Hey All.

Well, my "new" BN's arrived yesterday at my folks house, so I figured I would share a little of the old girls...

I need to go pick up the hood and a spare magneto for one of them, and it looks like the first thing I need to do is find a rear rim and two new front tires for the one thats looking a little lopsided.

Also, does anyone know where to get a drawbar for these things? What sorts of parts will interchange between the B, BN and the A?

The drawbar for a BN will be 8in narrower than one from a B. I can make one from a B and it will be like a factory one for BN. I would use my BN for a pattern as there is one hole less on each side of center. Now if you dont care about being factory correct just narrow a B 8in.
 
Between an A, B, & BN nearly all parts will interchange except the differential shafts & housings, drawbars, pedal guards & the foot platform. B & BN will have the same front ends, an A front end is different.
 
Im not sure honestly....

Ill try and check in the light tomorrow and see if there is anything left of it!
 
I saw that OEM had that in their catalog... The only problem is that I didnt even pay that much for the tractor...
 
Boy, don"t show that to my wife. She spent a lot of time as a girl driving hed dad"s BN. Was her favorite tractor. Unfortunately, burned beyond repair in a barn fire.

Hi Greg.

I actually have another mag for it, I just need to pick it up from the previous owner. Im guessing from your handle that you are in California, and I live in Virginia, just outside of DC. Tractors are located in upstate NY.

Both are pretty far to ship a rim is the problem :(
 
Yes, I agree, that it is too great a distance to deal with shipping and costs. Good luck with you project(s)!
