806 trans brake

I have a 1965 gas 806 that tends to grind the gears unless you shift slowly, is it supposed to have a trans shaft brake? I've heard both ways, don't know where it is if it has such a thing, or if there is any adjustment to it.

One thing that helps a lot on the gear grinding between gears is to slow the RPM's of the engine down before disengaging the clutch.

And I believe there should be a clutch brake to help slow down the spinning gears . But no transmission brake that I know of.

Yes their is a trans brake on your tractor. It is in the bottom of the clutch housing and has a adjusting rod.The pad may be worn off or needs adjustment or replaced. In the operators manual it tells you how to do it.
