Has any one purchased a raditor for a M farmall tractor from yt . I have talked to people around and theyb said they had bad luck buying new ones. Any ideals thanks.Gary

I have never had an aftermaket radiator from anybody that fit like the original. I can tell you the ones from Universal parts on ebay are the closet one Ive found. If my tanks had been in better shape, Id probably had mine recored.

A recore with a top and bottom tank in good shape, the neck and cap seat good, is great. It is the way to go if your parts are good. JimN

Gary: I've heard more than a few horror stories on replacement tractor radiators, thus I've never bought one. I have recored a couple and quite happy with the results. Bear in mind I live in an area, probably as many tractors per square mile as anywhere in North America, thus the rad shops do a lot of tractor radiators.

I've also heard of poor results from recores, and those occured in areas with very few tractors per square mile. I know at least one of those rad shops had never done a tractor rad before. I think you have to watch that situation as well.

Use your own judgment.

Aftermarket radiators made by Clancy in Ireland and the Czech republic generally fit and work very well. I don't think I have had or heard of problems with them when the correct one was ordered. A&I wholesales them to their dealers. There are probably other sources as well. Recores are only as good as your local rad shop. Some are great; some are a waste of time and money.

The ones that WERE made in Ireland have now been contracted to a company in India.... The guy who told me this didnt say if it was Clancy or not, but said he use to get his from someone in Ireland, until he found out they were now made in India.

If going new check this site, pretty good prices. cannot say if they are good or not never used one..
