need oil capacity for cub

I was changing oil on all my tractors today and could not remember how much oil to put in the little cub. I wrote it down somewhere but couldnt find where I wrote it. I do not have a manual for the little rascal. Rainy and cold 39 here in MO today and I"m glad to be sitting by the pellet stove at this time.

If you changed the filter, youll need that 4th quart. Just changed the oil in mine like 2 weeks ago, and needed just a tad more that 3 quarts to get it to the full line on the dipstick. It was only like a cup or so.

Hal,
If everyone had a manual they would have no need for us. How can anyone spend thousands of $ on a tractor and SAVE $25 on a manual and then rely on "free advice" ?? Always amazes me!!

Paul: The big concern, owning a Cub is seating capacity. When I was a young lad, some years ago, an old guy in the community, weight 250# drove his Cub just about everywhere. Young lad that worked for my dad, said, "He looks like a Panda Bear on a tricycle."

Later he built a wood carrier platform on the drawbar, and used to take his huge German Shepherd along for the drive. Dog would stand with back feet on platform, and front feet by gearshift. When he would get to the store, dog would curl up on platform and waite.

I weighed the other day at 246. 20 lbs more than a year ago so I am not far from being just like you described. The steering wheel rubs the top of my thighs. May be easier to get a bigger tractor than loose that 20 lbs.
