230/240 Fast hitch

I am wondering if a fasthitch that is on a 230 will fit on a 240 Farmall? Both are row crop tractor, the 230 is a wide front and the 240 is a narrow front. I would like to put the fast hitch on the 240 and the straight draw bar on the 230 if this would work.
Thanks for your knowledge.

M Nut: I'm not certain this is an obstacle. 230 uses small fork receivers and 240 large fork receivers. I know my brother has a 230 and a friend of his a 240, and they exchange implements a bit. They determined that my brother could change the bottom pull bar, thus giving him large receivers. Last time I discussed this with him he was still shopping for a large receiver pull bar.

One item that will be different is draft control linkage from hitch hydraulic cylinder to the remote valve. Some of those linkages were cable, while others were rods with pivots. If it is cable you can probably make the switch. I would think the rod and pivot would be close to impossible given the seat and platform arrangment. You may be able to change it to cable control. Probably you will have to switch remote valves as well. While the housing is the same on hitch valve, the internal workings are different. 240 might have a hitch valve, but I doubt it.

If you want an opinion, I'm saying the structure of the hitch will bolt up, you may have to improvise with that draft linkage.

Thanks for the info. Hugh. I think I'll pass on this venture. My fasthitch is the hydraulic type, not the cable type.

The accessories are interchangable and I believe the Basic Mount is swappable. There are so many different set ups on this thing I have a hard time Keeping up.Check Case/IH Parts Diagrams for sure. But they are swappable on mine!!!

Peace.
