1468 and 1568 Tractors, Neat Tractor

Is it just me or does the 1468 and 1568 with cab have big truck look to it due to those two pipes? I think the V8 models listed just have such a neat look and to me the cab adds something to the look.

We have a 1468 at my Uncle Mike's that we use for digging potatoes and it runs great. Only after some ungodly amount of hours did we have to put a motor in it. Ended up putting a v8 IH diesel truck motor in it. (bolted right in and was $2500 cheaper than the tractor motor!!) It's more ponys and torque but less noise. Works nice for fitting with a JD 220 folding disc too.

Rick: V8 diesels have never been a roaring success. All one has to do is count the numbers. doesn't matter whether it is tractors, trucks or industrial equipment, larger cubic inch, inline 6 cylinder engines rule supreme.

Careful now that 3408 V-8 cat was quite the horse in its day. Just needed a refinery to take along with you. but horse you had. nothing will rumble like it too. has it's own sound like a detroit diesel. only the cat sounded like a freight train.
