3500 to 4000 if you find a buyer. If you made it you have more than that in it. It is a non profit organization we run here!!:*) JimN

Jim: I always try to justify it by saying that if I live to be 120 years old and grow my 1 acre garden, plow my snow and mow my 2 acres grass, it will turn a profit.

Bear in mind, Marg claims this is only way to be certain a percentage of our food is not coming from the orient, complete with unedible additives.

My "profit" is the piece and well being I get from interacting with the tractors and people associated with them (like yourself). Quality of life is a major profit. Jim

If it's a Stage II with live hydraulics, battery under the seat, etc. and you do everything "right" and it's complete, it oughta bring at least 5 grand...or more. Get some good pictures of the orginals (don't rely on pictures of restorations, very few are correct) and look at them very carefully for the little details like what's painted and what isn't and decal application. Put the best computer cut decals and good brand tires of the correct size on it.....Firestones, B. F. Goodrich or Titans. Long bar/long bar, open center type. No cheap undersized baloneys...6.00-16's on the front and 13.6-38's or (my preference) 14.9-38's on the rears. Use only the very best replacement parts and kits. When it's done and you've decided you can see someone else with it, advertise it in the Red Power and IHCC magazines and the picture ads here.....and be patient...somebody will come along with enough knowledge to appreciate it....and enough money to buy it.

In addition to Dukester's advice:

1. Don't tie up money in it such that you need to sell the tractor to survive. You'll be forced into selling the tractor and losing money.

2. Don't get testy with the lowballers. You'll get a reputation as a crazy jerk rather than a talented restorer of fine tractors.

Somebody is buying these tractors that are bringing crazy prices at auctions, like 10, 12 grand for an MTA, for example. There are people out there with more money than brains... er, I mean, a keen eye for quality and the willingness to pay for it.
