super m crankshaft ?'s

were there more than one crankshafts available for the super m gas? i have one over at the machine shop, and bought main and rod bearings from yt. the machine shop called and said the bearings were wrong for this crank, they said its a big journal crank and the bearings i have were for a small journal. i wasnt aware of a second size. they are getting the correct bearings for me.
 
According to the parts CD the main bearings are: 259960R91 4 BEARING, crankshaft, front, rear
and intermediate (2 halves)
standard) and 271207R92 1 BEARING, crankshaft, center (2 halves) (standard). The rods are 52164DAX 4 BEARING, connecting rod (2 halves)
 
I'll try this again for the gas SM. The crankshaft assembly number is: 353746R94 1 CRANKSHAFT, w/bearings, assembly (standard) (composed of (4) rod bearings
356957R11, (1) crankshaft 45571DE
(NSS), (2) front and rear bearings 356985R11, (1)
nut 4253D, (1) center bearing 356986R11,
(2) pin 46923D. You can drop me an email and I will send you a pdf file with parts diagram for the crankshaft assembly along with the parts list. It has all of the numbers for the over-sized bearings.
 
there are two main bearing sizes the older M prior to serial number 278050 is 2.7475-2.7485.later model M is 2.8075-2.8085.hey thats not first time thats happened. happy trails
 
The later M's and the Super M's used the same crank. They probably sent you bearings for the early M. Hal
