b has chatter when I let off clutch. When clutch is pushed down no chatter. When I let off maybe a inch or two chatter.Noise in all forward gears but not reverse.Sound is coming from under seat/PTO lever/diff. area.Where to split.Posted this q before.Thanx for responses!Just had a little bit more info.

If it was car I would tell you back it up to a tree and burn a little surface off the clutch, maybe oil is getting on plate. Could also be loose flywheel, weak clutch springs, clutch worn down to rivets and slipping.

A worn input bearing in the tranny can sure make them noisy. Clutch chatter can be caused by the three fingers not being adjusted to apply even pressure when pressure plate is enguaged.
