806 Hydraulics....

Bought an 806 that has a single set of hydraulic couplers at the rear of the tractor. It has dual levers in the cab. It has a set of couplings coming out on both sides of the colmun right behind the fuel tank. The rear set are controlled by the inside lever in the cab. How do the two sets behind the fuel tank come into play? I need to get a second set of hydrulics couplers at the rear of the tractor. Are the ones behind the tank are controlled by the second lever? If so, can I extend the lines to the rear of the tractor and use them? If not what do I need to do to get another set to the rear of the tractor?
Thanks, Dan

I had the same problem. I took the hyd. lines off going to the front. They were attached to the top of the valve with a banjo bolt affair. I bought two short hoses with a 90 elbow to go where the bolts came out. I attached couplers to the other end.

Same thing with my 504, moved them to the rear. I later replaced the banjos with ORB to JIC fittings and ran rubber to the couplings at the rear.

Usually the left side under the tank and the rear couplers were on the left lever.

And the right side couplers under the tank are controlled by the right lever.

Yes you can extend them to the back.

The front couplers were used for mounted cultivators and loaders so that the hoses did not have to run to the back of the tractor.

Most all 300's thru the 856's were equiped that way, with front and rear couplers, here in my area.
