Today I hit the generator again for round 3. Took the advice of others and moved the 3rd brush closest to the stationary one (gives most charge). For anyone who didn"t know, as I didn"t, there is a screw on the back of the generator you have to loosen, then you can push the third brush with your finger. So after doing this, I"m getting 10 to 12 amps on high charge, 2 to 3 amps when the lights are on, and maybe 1 when it is on low charge.
Thanks for all who helped me on this issue, gonna save a lot of extra grief this winter having the system working the way it should.
