piston stuck in sleeve

I have a motor that is stuck from rain got in the cylinders the pistons are stuck wet sleeve motor just need to get them out so i can get new sleeves and pistons and rebuild what is the easiest way

My Dad and I just got done unsticking an M w/ water in two cylinders. It took lots of penetrating oil, pounding and pulling. Dad cut a piece of green ash to fit into the stuck cylinders (head is off) hooked it to our other M and pulled it in 5th while I pounded on the stuck pistons with the ash plug and a maul. This tractor had sat for seven yrs.

Sometimes though its impossible to unstick them. This from an older fellow in our area who really knows the old tractors. Then you'll have to push the sleeves out of the block and get new pistons rings and sleeves.

Remove the oil pan, get as many connecting rods loose as you can, use a hydraulic jack to push the piston and the sleeve out of the block. If you can do that, then remove the piston from the sleeve by cutting the sleeve from top to bottom with a metal cutting wheel on an angle grinder. That will let you split the sleeve enough to get the piston out.

I have also removed all the tin work, the head, the pan, (all that I can get apart), put diesel into the cylinders, and set it fire (outside). This heats the block slowly and uniformly and sometimes this will break the piston loose in the sleeve, with some pounding with a wood block or a jack from the bottom.

Remove head and pan and pour ATF on top of the pistons. That's tranny fluid. Remove one of the rod caps and take a piece of 2X2 oak and a big hammer then see if see if the piston or sleeve will move. The wet sleeve may come out quicker since they're not pressed into the block. Use an acetylene torch to heat the sleeve if the piston
comes out with the sleeve. The old rods can be used with the new pistons. They may need new bushings. Hal

put a large 4 ft pipewrench on the pto,it is a better ratio than the trans. have someone pull or put weight on it put a good piece of hardwood on the piston and smack it with a sledge.i tried the pull with another tractor deal years ago and busted some main bearings, the jack under the crank only works if the crank is in a perfect spot
