Rough value for my 544

I am updating my asset sheet, considering a land purchase. Could you guys give me your best guess on what my 544 is worth- 1970 544 Diesel, rowcrop, hydro, widefront, 4500 hours, new 16.9 tires, 3pt, has 2001 all hydraulic loader, newer paint on tractor and loader. Runs great, hydro strong, and for a german diesel she starts great. I was thinking $5000, but looking at ads I see them asking much more for much worse shape and with out a loader. What do you guys think?

A row crop hydro diesel 544 is quite rare in the shape yours is in or any condition for that matter. With a loader, the low hours, good rubber I would say $5000 is very cheap. At auction I would expect $7000 to $8000 maybe more if two people really wanted it. Quality always brings the money.

I agree with those that suggest a higher price. I bought a rough Model 784 with a Mount O Matic loader for $7300 here in S. Central Mich a few years ago. If the hydro is good & tractor straight as you describe, I'd start the bidding at quite a bit more than $5000.
