I have a 400 Farmall with all hydraulic loader and 3 point with blade. 3 point is set for single acting as that is what the cylinder is. The problem is when 3 is point raised the only way it will lower is when I start to raise the loader. This is a 3 valve hydraulic system with one for loader arms and one for the bucket and third for the 3 point.
Any idea's on what is the cause of the problem and what the fix is?
Thank you!

Maybe the loader main lift valve is set for 2 way when it is a one way. There are often three settings per valve, with one being float, one single acting, and one dual acting.
If the exhaust of the hitch cylinder is plumbed wrong, it might also be restricted, it should (I think from no info)be plumbed into the reservoir return. JimN

Hi Jim,

I also have a 400 w/3 remotes.
I know that they can be set to 1-way ans 2-way. Please tell me how to set it to Float. Also when set to float is it 1 or 2 way?

thanks.
