Just bought a 560 diesel that has been sitting for a while. The injectors were done, but it has not run since,I have fuel to the pump, but can't get it to injectors. Also it has some sort of fuel shut-off on the side of injection pump, what postion does this have to be in? ahead or back?

Ahead[ forward] is run. Pull back to shut off. Crack all injector lines at the injectors to bleed. In severe cases, crack injector nuts & pull down the road in gear until fuel comes out at the injectors.

In addition to what Brownie said check all the glowplugs and make sure they work if you havent already, otherwise shes never gonna start on her own.

The easiest way to get fuel to the injectors from my expierience is to pull the tractor around. I sat there cranking the engine and charging the batteries and didnt get anything. Used a chain to hook it to another tractor, pulled it about 75 feet and fuel was coming out of all the lines. Tightened em back up and pulled it around a little more to warm up and she fired up no problem. Hope this helps

Darcey I bought a 560 2 years ago doing the same thing my problem was the injector pump was'nt pumping enough fuel for it to start but if I pulled it like others said it would start but when I shut it of had to pull it again might check into that on mine. Had the pump cleaned and rebuilt and it works fine, on mine I have a pretty decent amount of fuel at the injectors but like others said glow plugs are a must on a 560.
