Farmall 240 - looking at one soon... any advice?

Weather permitting...I am going to look at a 1958 Farmall 240 Utility this weekend and was wondering a couple things -

1) It doesn"t appear to have a 3-point or a fast hitch (whichever was available in 1958), are there extra castings on 240"s that do have these vs. those without or are they totally a bolt-on unit (factory-style units, not aftermarket) and I wouldn"t have major issues if I found used parts to add? Or?

2)Any pros or cons to these machines, and any "watch-out for this.." items?

With the exception of a Cub I bought for my brother a few years ago and tinkered with for a couple weeks I have never been on a Farmall tractor this small. Any advice/help would be appreciated.

heres a couple pics of my 240u. picked it up last year. handy little tractor, have a 6 ft bush hog for it and a back blade. mine has a fast hitch. good runner, compact and pretty powerful. i loaded my back tires for mowing ditches, makes it a little more stable. i would imagine if you found the hitch, it is just a bolt on affair if you have hydraulics on the tractor. wengers of meyerstown has a lot of 240 parts. www.wengers .com. heres my 240, aint pretty, but a hard little worker.

Overall a nice little tractor. Power steering is a nice option. In my opinion, the hydraulic system is short on capacity. Mine has Power Steering, Fast Hitch and Remotes. If you put a loader on, I suggest installing a front pump to supply the loader.
The Tele-Depth has two control versions. One has a control cable and the other mechanical linkage. I prefer the mechanical linkage.
