Cub 154 Lowboy

I'm normally over at the 8N board but I have recently been offered a Cub 154 Lowboy with back blade, a self powered 48" tiller and a 59" Woods mower deck.
Can anyone tell me what the ground speed is in first gear?
Is $2,000 too much for this package? Haven't seen it up close yet but the photos look good and everything works. I could sure use this little tractor.
thanks in advance
Peter

2grand is a good price for that tractor with just the woods mower. with the extra implements, i think its an outstanding price.

I have a 154 and it is a pretty good tractor for mowing. I have been told and I would tend to agree that you would need the optional creeper drive in order to properly use the tiller. Also many of these tractors had turf tires. I would think you would need ag tires again for the tiller. Sounds like a super price for the tractor and mower. Great price with other implements included. Be aware the tractor does not have a standard PTO and you will be limited to the non-standard implements you can use.

2MPH is way too fast for tilling.

Cub 154's normally have a creeper gear add-on for running a tiller or a snowblower. It's a gear reduction between the engine and transmission.

However, if the tiller is self-powered (as stated) you can throttle back to slow down. May still be too fast in some conditions, but much better than one powered by the tractor.
