A tip for the novice Farmall owners (like me). The old hands probably have already done this. Anyway, this H has a "reworked" mounting system for the generator. The generator had a short shaft, thus the IH pulley would not work and the pulley on it did not line up with the water pump pulley--solution was a cobbled-up mess. I removed the armature and took it to a machine shop and had a hole bored in the shaft and threaded for a 3/8 inch fine thread bolt. Slipped an original IH pulley on and bolted it on. When mounted everything lines up like its supposed to. Not original, but functional!!
