Well Thanks for all the help (El Toro, John T, and others)I finally got the 460u to run! I put a new coil on it, filed down the points (they were badly pittted), found that i now had spark off the wire from the coil and then through the plugs, BUT still would not fire! I checked the flow at the gas line just before the carb it was very strong. There was gas coming out of the drain at the carb when I opened it. Still no fire. I put gas in 3 cylinders (via the plug port) using a syringe. Hit the key and she fired right off, sputtered a moment and commensed to running smoothly. I worked the thottle for about 5 min. then shut it off to pick up all my tools. When I went to start it again, no fire. I took the syringe and sprayed gasoline into the air intake side off the carb hit the key again and it fired and ran. I worked it for 3 hours without shutting it off. Parked it for the night and it has started ever since. When I get it in the shop to tear down and rebuild the TA, I will have to do a carb rebuild, as well as new points and a condenser. I need to get it stripped down to repaint her also for the RPRU in near by Madison in `09.

Thanks to all!! I'll be needing more help when I tear her down this winter!

Glad to help. You need to take some pictures during that teardown. They will come in handy during the reassembly. Hal
