McCormick No. 10 Manure Spreader - Excellent Condition

Found an excellent condition McCormick No. 10 manure spreader. It has origional wood sides and floor. All gears and chains work too. Can you folks let me know what years these were made? Also, any additional information about these would be appreciated. thx

Looks like an AWSOME find! The only thing better would be a widow asking you to take it away to clear out barn space. (Sorry for that comment, kinda shallow).

I have one of these spreaders, no paint left on it and no one has been able to give me the model number. I did repaint it this summer and the wheels on mine are Ochre in color. According to the paint committee decisions Ochre was used on wheels from April 11/47 (167) until April 11/49 (171). My dad bought a larger spreader around 1950 and I remember the wheels were Ochre, the same color as my 1949 threshing machine.

They started building that model in about '56. I don't have an end date. There were other models that looked similar before and probably after.

I think we saw the same one. I was at that shop this past Friday afternoon. Pretty hefty price tag but it is in real nice original shape.
