International 660 Diesel Trimotor

I saw this on my travels this past summer in southern Alberta (Drumheller). My apologies if it has been discussed here before but thought I would share the picture anyway just in case. I was told that it was put together by a fellow who used it to work the larger fields. It is a very interesting piece of engineering. My hat goes off to the person that put this together. I bet there is an interesting story behind this tractor unit, does anyone have any information to share? Thanks & take care, Steve

I seen this rig on a television farm show. Can't tell you much about it but it is a usable machine. The man on the top platform can operate all three machines from there, including brakes, throttle, clutches and so forth.

We had this unit at our IHCC show this summer. It was built in 1968 and used continously for about 12000 machine hours before it was retired. The builders son logged most of the hours. It pulled a 40 cultivator hooked in tandem with a 40 drill. The three engines had seperate throttles, the operator had to slow the inside unit during a turn to prevent power hop, using the throttles like turning an airplane, the developer was a pilot.
