F-12 Fan belt

Been a while, but I think the belt will slip on over the fan blade. IIRC, you have to remove the crank extension from the crankshaft pulley and possibly the bracket it mounts to.

It should be fairly apparent if you spend a minute looking at it.

If you will look at the underside of the shaft of the fan you will find a long threaded bolt with a locknut on it. Loosen the locknut; back the threaded bolt out. It takes a 1/4" wrench. It will have to be backed out a long way. Next loosen the nut on the fan shaft in front of the bracket. That will take a 7/8" or 13/16" wrench. It has to be narrow to fit between the bracket and the belt pulley of the fan blade. Fawteen is right in that the support that houses the crank extension needs to be moved forward. There are two bolts holding this bracket to the side rails. Remove the bolts, slide the bracket forward and this should provide enough clearance to install the new belt. After installation of the new belt, reverse the above process. CAUTION: Don't overtighten the belt. There should be between 1/2" and 5/8" of deflection after the belt is tightened. Hope this helps.

If you will take this number to a dealer, auto parts store or your local TSC, they should have one. The number is 756792 right on the belt. Hope this helps

Thanks to all you guys out there for info to replace the fan belt. I got it!!, after a few skinned knuckles, and a few choice words of encouragement. The F-12 in now ready for a parade on Nov 22 in Winslow, AZ. Merry Christmas.
