help with 444 diesel problem

i have a 444 that smokes unburnt fuel smoke. test injector found 3 bad replace injector. still smoking and has no power.how do you set fuelpump timing,the front timing mark on the gears does not line up. it hard to start has no throttle response, help needed thanks dave

Hi, check the air cleaner for being clogged first before adjusting injection pump.

Check the fuel filters too, also Im not sure if a 444 has a manual fuel shut off but my 484 was a nutless wonder after I rebuilt the engine and later I seen the fuel shutoff cable wasnt moving the lever on the injection pump all the way up.

Check the fuel return from pump and injectors back to tank.
