That"s like telling us you won the lotto but don"t know if you"ll take the winnings because it only comes in cash. What are you waiting for???? If you want to trade for a regular run of the mill Farmall M, let me know.

They are a sweet tractor. I've never had one myself, but I can say in all the shows I've been to, I've only ever seen one. Very cool.

The Super W-6 should be avoided at all costs. They are a health hazard and very dangerous. If you will let me know where that widow maker is located I will make sure that you do not become exposed to any of the unhealthy things that might result from coming in contact with such a beast.

Ryder: These are actually called a Super W-6TA. They were all built in 1954, same as the Farmall Super MTA. W-6, Super W-6 or Super W-6TA are not Farmalls. They are all McCormick IH, but only the row crops are Farmalls.

The Super W-6TA has the same chassis as the W-400, quite different than other W-6.

My dad bought W-6 abought two years ago and paid $5000.00 for it. This tractor was a 95 out of 100 perfect restored tractor. The Super W-6 being a more sought after tractor would make a real nice addition to any collection.

I can see on these tractors that the quality of the sheet metal is important, there is so much of it.

liveoak: No offence meant, I couldn't come up with any reasonable reason why a Super W-6TA would anymore dangerous than any other tractor. I could only assume, you wanted it for yourself.

I learned to drive on a W series tractor, close to 60 years ago. Other than a young lad 6 years old trying to activate clutch and brakes at the same time, just a pretty safe old tractor. Mind you, I was pulling a wagon and loose hayloader on flat land, thus the brakes were not necessary. Myself and two of my brothers learned to drive on that old W-4, we're all over 60 now, no stiches or mended bones in these old carcases.
